Hello my darlings!

First of all, Happiest of Happy Birthdays to [livejournal.com profile] ladycat777 !! I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day from tip to top and everywhere in between.

I've kicked off my sandals and am happily barefoot, with my feet tucked under me. Yay for desks that hide the feet from the world! I can wiggle my toes in complete abandon.

I am in an absolutely excellent mood today. *beams* It's like my brain is covered in sparkles and glitter! Work wise I can summon up enthusiasm but not words - today, will, therefore, be a researchy day.

Fic wise, I can summon up words and enthusiasm for the stuff I totally shouldn't be addicted to, namely the cracktrailer. But heee, that's the way the cookie crumbles. I am gonna write my Typecast Sequel soonish, because it also is eating my brain. It's also the thing without any kind of deadline. And this is all SO weird for me, because usually deadlines are the things that get me moving and motivated. So weird.

Lawn wise - backyard will be mown tonight unless it rains. So I have said and so shall it be.

Coffee wise - I'm drinking it! It's not totally terrible today (work) and my morning coffee was fabulous

Arundhathi wise - hey, she's blaming ME for once. The power has switched hands! The tables have turned!

And oh yeah, omg, CRICKETS, so loud last night *facepalms* So they're officially back. I've seen one and two but now I can start hearing them at night again. Darn it.

*hugs and love to you all*

So, those who read my LJ regularly might remember how recently swmbo was in trouble with her mom because the post office didn't deliver a letter from mombo to swmbo. Everybody remember this? How I was scolded and mombo was incredibly disappointed me and then the letter was returned to mombo with a "return to sender" because the address was wrong? Ahh, good.

Soooo...I get the mail today. And guess what? The replacement letter was there! So I guess I am not in trouble, hurrah. I open up the envelope to find out that mombo had TORN OFF the front of the envelope with the "Return to Sender" label and enclosed it in the new letter. *facepalm* As proof, I guess? Or something? I don't know. Her logic does not resemble earth logic as I know it. In addition to the torn off envelope front, the entire letter consisted of two clipped out articles about wine. And a Post-it note stuck to one of them that reads:

Hi Hon:
I want to become a wine merchant !!!! (When I grow up?)
Lots of love,
Your bored Mother

Oh god. I love my mom so much. Even if she is completely nuts. I'm still unclear what was so imperative about it that it HAD to arrive just then, either.

*hugs to all*
