Oh my gosh, I'm flailing a bit in panic. I really only have two days - two days! - today and tomorrow to get anything done before my flight out Thursday night. Considering my essential nature is to procrastinate, that's a scary, scary thought. Particularly because I found my favorite sandals and discovered they are in worse shape than I remember :( And they used to be so cute, too. I'm not even a huge shoe person, but these - they were very grecian! They laced up! They made me happy! And the leather on the sole is all corroded out. Bad sandals, betraying me!

Then again, a bonus of my new job is that we can actually wear sandals to work - again, YEARS since that's been acceptable. So if I can find a pair I like (I'm picky) then they're totally a justifiable purchase. So that's the plan: trying to shop over lunch either today or tomorrow. Tidying my house. Glaring at the mailbox - mail carrier better come today! Packing. Trying to fit my robot parrot in my bag. Failing. Giving up and going with a larger bag. I'm pretty sure that's how that is going to go - but still, I MIGHT manage to get him in. I can't go to Canada without a parrot, it's not acceptable. Trying to find a Canadian translation book - can't always depend on Twat and Kovsky to rescue me. OR not to get me deeper in trouble. AND sort through the fanfic that I'm going to bring with me.

Which brings me to a request - if anybody has any suggestions on something fanfic-y to bring with me, please feel free to put 'em below. I know, I know - it's the most irritating request in the world because you're all like "Yes, but how do I know WHAT you've read?" and "but what do you LIKE?" And I'm not particularly helpful. But I really have read VERY little that's published in the last couple of months. I know, for example, that I've read none of the Angel Winter Book of Days. I haven't read any of the stories from the Riley or Connor ficathons. Or, I think, from the Cordelia one. I've read a little bit of LotRPS - my Arrie is good at getting me Vig/Orli links. But any more suggestions would be good. And, in general, I'm feeling a bit behind. I haven't started reading any WIPs in months, so if there's anything good - particularly if it was completed or nearing completion, for I am an impatient soul...

And of course if you DON'T have any suggestions but just want to hug or pet me...feel free! Hee!

DUDE!

How much do I LOVE my ashlyn26 ? Distressed at the thought of my having bad coffee (or not wanting to hear me whine about it) she OVERNIGHTED Gevalia coffee to me. I love her so much. She spoils me rotten and far, far more than I deserve. But oh man, i will be drinking GOOD coffee again tomorrow morning. The kind that makes getting up out of bed sheer joy and delight *dances* Weee!

And in related swmbo news - 2 days and four hours I'll be cuddling Kovsky, Twat and Lloraaaaaaaaineee. Wee. And I got inches and inches cut off my hair to celebrate. It's now just above my shoulders so that when I shake my head it tickles my neck. Which is making me shake my head a LOT. *bounces*

Oh man, am all excitement. Tomorrow I just need to get the ingredients to bake raspberry oatmeal bars for 'em and pick up one more thing - AND remember to mail the mombo her Mother's Day card - and then I'm set! Locked and loaded and ready to rumble right after work on Thursdays.
