For those perched on the edge of their seats, awaiting a weather porn update - yes, the warm, moist front definitely oozed in. And ugh, it's disgusting. Everything is sodden right through and squishy and damp. And it just keeps raining and raining - and it's all tiny droplets so that it doesn't do any good to use umbrellas or rain coats or everything - they manage to wiggle their way underneath all clothing/protection. And the problem is that even though I do NOT mean that to sound like badsmutfic, everything I type now seems to have that connotation. Eeep.

And ok, the addiction to 80s music is growing stronger.

How much do I LOVE this song? I had forgotten how great 80s music is. And it's so sing-able, with the cheesy lyrics and easy ranges and...*bounces*

Misc news:

As an update, there's been over twenty signups so far for the Flashfication Reunion. (Hey, I didn't mention it at ALL yesterday!) and I'm looking forward to more of 'em.

The sumerianwotd means "wood" or "tree"...if you're not checking it out, do so! Because really, you'll never know when this kind of knowledge will come in handy. One day somebody might ask you "what does gish mean?" And most people would have to look blankly and admit they have no clue. But the loyal SWotD (and dude, how much do I LOVE that that can be prounced swotted? Seriously, it tickles my fancy EVERY time) readers would be able to promply say "Hmm? What? Gish? Yeah, that means tree or wood, depending on context." And totally put whoever was trying to stump you (heee!, stump!) in their place. And there is also a new community - sumerianstories, for people to share their experiences of learning Sumerian with others. Unfortunately that doesn't mean you guys are off the hook, as it really just give me MORE places, not a new place to focus my energies.

I'm still processing last night's Angel and other people have already said much of what I felt far more eloquently. But I did want to say - if anybody isn't checking out wisteria_'s Screencap Reviews after each episode - they really should start. It doesn't matter if you loved or hated any particular episode, her version of the story is alaways worth reading. And oh! God...I don't normally pimp much fic in my journal but Wodehouse fans who don't mind a little mental scarring should race on over to janedavitt's journal for some Wooster/Jeeves slash. Her voices are dead-on, which only makes the whole thing all the more hysterical.

Grrrrr!!!!
My phone is broken. *growls* Just the voice portion, thank goodness - the DSL portion is still *knock on wood* functioning. When I pick up the phone there's nothing but this weird, noisy, echoing static. When people call me? If I'm lucky they go straight to voicemail, if I'm unlucky they get the weird static noise.

The phone company is 'looking into the problem' and experiencing a ton of problems because of the weather. Yes, that oozing, pornographic weather is what screwed up my [expletive deleted] phone. Hee, really I don't mean the harshness there, except for the humor value in it. Anyway, it bites. Complete with the phone company saying that the problem should be fixed by "6pm tomorrow." Nice. *sulks*

And we're having flash floods! Yay us.

Ok, that's my bitchy, ranty post. *looks hard at her phone* WORK, DARN IT !!!

I'm feeling very fussy because of it *pouts* Because of course this WOULD happen after my cell phone caught fire a week ago. Ok, it didn't actually catch on fire, but it started burning and making that electrical smell and the metal part of the recharger melted and warped and twisted and now can't be charged.

I have the best phone luck !
