Hello world!
First of all -
sumerianwotd - it's not just a word - it's a community!
annakovsky is still providing the same high level edutainment, only now in a handy dandy central location! Join for the word, stay for the Kool-Aid! Stone on!
Second,
megl42 has created
btvsficcritique - after my recent feedback post, this is a good time to mention it! Anybody can join, but it's for those who are interested in serious critical commentary on their works, who want to learn how they can possible improve. As Meg states in the userinfo The purpose of this community is to post your fic and get brutally honest but helpful critical comments.
And lastly, I met
sweptawaybayou today! She'd never seen Home. OR Peace Out. So naturally we watched both. And she came bearing cake! And a balloon and flowers! A Balloon! I am psyched. Plus she was all "The cake is chocolate, I hope that's ok". Is that ok? Darn tootin' it is! Heck if it wasn't chocolate, I would have drug out the instant coffee instead of the good stuff. Um, if I owned instant coffee, which I don't. I'd have had to go knocking on the neighbor's doors...
Seriously, though - she's great. We watched Home and she didn't make fun of me when I got all choked up and sniffy and growly. Because...Connor! And Peace Out, in the church *tries not to break down* And after we watched those episodes we spent a couple hours drinking coffee and talking and she let me natter on about, oh, anything and everything. She spent hours in my company and not only didn't flee in terror, she said she wants to do it again! She's a strong, strong woman! And also, as I mentioned, excellent :) Although it might be that she's coming for the coffee, cause I have like, the best coffee in the world.
*hugs to everybody* Love you guys. And remember - if you join the critique community, you, too, can be a dub-sar* !
*dub-sar - tomorrow's Sumerian word of the day, translating to "tablet writer" aka scribe. But I'm not ALWAYS going to give you the lessons like this, so you should join! Join and learn!
