Eeep! *flails about in panic*
Oh dear! I'm behind, I'm soooo behind! *pats her friends list*
So much to read. So much! Yesterday's Devon fics - several of which I've read and loved. And today's Xanderslash ficathon which I haven't even had time to look at! Heck, there are still some Giles and Oz fics I need, need, need to read *clings to flist*. That's not even including insightful reviews of last night's episode and people's daily lives and all the other little joys. And oh man, I just know that while I'm writing this up, a dozen people have posted more entries!
And mom is coming tomorrow for the weekend, yay! That's excellent news. Except...cleaning is evil. EVIL. Yes, I know, I should be making my minions work. But it's still chilly here - well below freezing - and I keep getting warm weather minions. And they sulk and throw a fit and eventually depart for Hawaii and California. I need frost minions. NOT Ice Minions, as that would be something completely different.
Oh more good news! My Angel S3 DVDs are "Out for Delivery". So yay! I'm squeaky with excitement about both those events. Mom is being slowly seduced into Buffy but she hasn't seen much of Angel. And she's seen Buffy somewhat out of order. Spike, in particular, confuses her as she's mostly seen half of S2, a few eps of S5 and some of the end of S7. It's always fun explaining. Explaining without giving things away! "Wait, isn't he good?" "No, he's still evil here." "Ok."
The sad thing being that this means that even with the S3 eps arriving today, tonight will be the only time I'll be able to watch them, really. Because I don't want to try to do that to my darling parent. At least one series she needs to see in order! But maybe I can trick her into watching some Angel Season 1 this weekend. *dances* Oh yes, it is a good plan. And I actually KNOW what I'm doing for my Darla ficathon assignment, even though the person asked for something totally and completely AU. And it's so very hard for me to write outside of what I perceive as canon. I don't know why, I love fics that take stories other places and yet when it's me, I want it to be able to slide into the season. Or I gnash my teeth and tear my hair and rend my clothes. So this is going to be in the nature of a Grand Experiment.
