Ohhh! Working computer! yay yay yay! Seriously, I love you and texting with you is always excellent but emails and lj comments and things where you can type more than 160 characters? ALWAYS wins my vote.

It's very, very rare that people don't win out :p Probably only when they say cracktastic things about Connor, *cough* Hee! *snuggles you*

Ohh, LoTPS! That's the part I didn't even think of. I mean, that's entire fandom that's NOTHING but fandom driven. Even the source of the media comes from different interviews, websites, shows, etc - you really have to have a solid network of people helping you FIND it. The fandom completely outweighs anything else in it. And no joke, I mean, without the other people, the most I would have probably thought was "how cute" and listened to commentaries once or twice, read a few interviews but not sought anything out...

And Harry Potter, I read the books on my own, but yes, I was NOT planning to get involved into fandom. With books it's also such a very different feel, because they only come out every once or two years, it's not the steady dose that you get with a television series, where speculation plays such a large part. Intead it's long downtime, then people devour the books and then long downtime again. But the downtime gives people lots of room to play. And adding the movies in addition skews things yet again.

And seriously, the friendships make me so happy. I mean, the notion that you'll listen to me squee about Summerland until you give in and watch it, but even if you don't...you're fine ignoring the show and just being happy that I'm happy, no matter how cracktastic the source. *loves you*
